JIT Celebrates 40 Years in Business and Gives Back to the Community with Donations

  • July 12, 2023

Buffalo, July 12, 2023 — In celebration of 40 years in business, Jamestown Industrial Trucks (JIT) Toyota-Lift is proud to announce their donation of new semi-electric pallet jacks to 12 deserving local non-profit organizations. The goal of this philanthropic initiative is to make a positive impact in the communities JIT Toyota-Lift serves.

“We are excited to celebrate 40 years in business,” said Joyce Schwob, President of JIT Toyota-Lift. “Our focus has always been on delivering exceptional products and services to our customers. As we mark this milestone, we want to express our gratitude by giving back to the community that has supported us. These donations are just a small way to demonstrate our appreciation for the splendid work they do.”

In March, JIT Toyota-Lift invited local non-profit organizations in Erie, Niagara, Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Allegany counties to apply for the electric pallet jack donations. The 12 winners were brought together and given the equipment in a celebration with the JIT Toyota Lift team.

The donated semi-electric pallet jacks are compact and maneuverable like manual jacks, but with an electric motor and onboard charger. They provide power assistance, enhancing organizations’ material handling capabilities. These jacks easily move loads forward, backward, and up small inclines.

Recipient nonprofits include:

  • Hearts for the Homeless – dedicated to feeding and clothing the chronically homeless, poor, and needy.
  • SPCA Serving Erie County – dedicated to creating a more humane community through education, rescuing, protecting, and enhancing the lives of animals.
  • Habitat for Humanity Buffalo  – committed to fostering community growth and providing affordable housing solutions.
  • FeedMore WNY – provides nutritious food, friendship, and skills training to Western New York neighbors in need.
  • Friends of Night People – helping individuals and families experiencing homelessness and poverty by storing and distributing food, clothing, hygiene products, and more.
  • Olean Food Pantry – seeks to provide food security, nutritious food, education, and resources to the Olean community.
  • The Salvation Army – the largest food pantry in Chautauqua County.
  • Reg Lenna Center for the Arts – Through comprehensive programming, the Reg Lenna Center for The Arts inspires, educates, and empowers an engaged community.
  • St. Susan Center – offering meals, fellowship, dignity, and respect to all who come through their doors.
  • Community Helping Hands – Giving a hand up, they help meet people’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Nola’s Angels and Horse Rescue – Rescues horses from kill pens to give them a good life.
  • Resurrection Life Food Pantry – meeting the immediate needs of low-income families and individuals in our community.

By providing these 12 semi-electric pallet jacks, JIT Toyota-Lift aims to uplift the non-profit sector and inspire other businesses to contribute to the betterment of their communities.
